Established to foster inclusivity, accountability, and cultural pride, UKAA serves as a platform for social connection, cultural preservation, and community advancement. Through events, programs, and partnerships, we celebrate our Kenyan heritage, support the well-being and success of our members, and contribute meaningfully to the diverse fabric of Canadian society. UKAA stands as a collective voice for Kenyans in Alberta; promoting unity, leadership, and a shared vision for a vibrant future.

Our History

The United Kenyans Association of Alberta (UKAA) was established in April 2024 and officially registered in August 2024 in response to long-standing divisions and fragmentation within the Kenyan community in Alberta. Recognizing the challenges caused by tribalism, limited inclusivity, and lack of unified representation, UKAA was formed to create a more cohesive and welcoming space for all Kenyans, regardless of ethnic background, beliefs, or affiliations. The association is grounded in the belief that unity, accountability, and shared purpose are essential for progress. UKAA is committed to developing inclusive programs and community-driven initiatives that address the social, cultural, and economic needs of Kenyans across the province.

Board of Directors

The United Kenyans Association of Alberta (UKAA) is preparing to hold its elections before the end of 2025.
